Until i got stuck in France, I never knew an importance of learning any other language except English.
English is my second language and I thought I have learnt enough. It was only one day when I was travelling to SA and we were late for the connection flight in France. The flight to SA left us behind. There I was stuck in France for 12hours with a 2 year old toddler. The food and nappies were not enough. I started regretting all the moments I have been with my French friend for years without even asking how I greet in French. How ignorant can we sometimes be without even noticing?
 | I came across a course online which is still helping me to learn even more languages. I have begun to take interest in the cultures of other nations around the world, since I have started learning. I am less selfish and now I know that there are people out there who can’t even speak a word of English. Well! You can ask why but the thing is, you can’t change somebody else but yourself. It is good to be diverse at times. Thank God I went over the attitude of thinking that I know enough languages and don’t want to learn more. |
